• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 – $2,040

• Setting: Medical Surgical / Telemetry Float Pool (Med/Surg Tele RN)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (short-term travel nurse contract)
• Start Date: May 4, 2026
• End Date: August 3, 2026
• Shift: Day Shift, 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (07:00 – 19:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Orientation: 24 hours

Job Requirements (Med/Surg Tele RN Qualifications)

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience (required for travel nurses)
• Travel nursing experience required
• Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license accepted)
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Current BCLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Proficient in IV starts, medication administration, and telemetry monitoring
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records (EPIC documentation skills)
• Ability to manage patient ratios of 1:4–1:5 in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting
• Strong communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills
• Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail
• 2 professional references required (at least 1 from a manager/director or formal leadership role)

Responsibilities (Med/Surg Tele RN Duties)

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Medical-Surgical Telemetry setting
• Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed within the organization (float pool responsibilities)
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, manage IVs, and administer blood products
• Care for patients with a variety of diagnoses, including trauma, neuro, ortho, and renal conditions
• Perform wound care, tracheostomy management, and pre/post hemodialysis management
• Utilize rapid response and code teams and maintain isolation precautions/PPE
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC electronic health records
• Participate in weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled
