Travel Surgical Technologist (CVOR) – Columbus, OH (13-week Contract)

Job Details — Travel CVOR Surgical Tech

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,860 – $1,990
• Location: Columbus, Ohio (zip 43210) — Columbus healthcare jobs, Ohio surgical tech jobs
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
• Shift Schedule: Evening shifts — 2x12-hour (10:30 – 23:00) and 2x8-hour (14:30 – 23:00) per week; flexibility required; weekend rotation and call required
• Setting: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) in a Level I Trauma facility — cardiac surgical tech / CVOR scrub tech role

Job Requirements (Certified Surgical Technologist — CVOR)

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with at least 5 years total CST experience
• Minimum 2 years experience in cardiac and vascular surgery
• At least 1 year CVOR experience (CVOR scrub experience required)
• 1 year experience in a Level I Trauma facility required
• Experience with cardiovascular/thoracic instrument reprocessing and high-level disinfection
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Proficiency in Epic electronic medical record/charting system
• Ability to provide two professional references (one from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Core Responsibilities — CVOR Surgical Tech / Scrub Tech

• Scrub and assist for cardiovascular procedures including CABG, valve replacements, EVAR, TEVAR, and related thoracic/vascular cases
• Support general OR, thoracic, and vascular surgeries as needed
• Maintain strict aseptic technique and accurate equipment/instrument documentation
• Manage crash cart, circulate when needed, and ensure correct specimen labeling and handling
• Participate in instrument reprocessing, sterilization processes, and high-level disinfection
• Follow universal protocols, safety procedures, and hospital infection control policies
• Flexible to work within a 06:30–23:00 timeframe and participate in weekend rotations and call requirements
