Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry RN / telemetry nursing experience
• Active RN license (Wisconsin or compact state)
• BLS certification required
• Experience with surgical patients, tube feeds, NG tube insertion, and blood product administration
• Familiarity with cardiac monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Comfortable with titratable drips (heparin, insulin, Cardizem) or willingness to learn
• Strong critical thinking, time management, and clinical assessment skills

Key Responsibilities

• Provide telemetry nursing care for adult medical, surgical and transplant patients, including live and kidney transplant recipients
• Interpret and document cardiac rhythms at least twice per shift (cardiac monitoring)
• Administer blood products and manage tube feeds and NG tubes
• Monitor and titrate drips per orders and unit protocols
• Document pain assessments before and after medication administration, ensuring compliance with medication orders
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge RNs, ICU-trained resource RNs, CNAs, hospitalists, intensivists, and tele techs
• Float to other units within scope of practice as needed
• Participate in weekend rotations (24 hours per 6 weeks) and scheduled holiday shifts
