- Facility: Level III Trauma Center, Magnet Designated, Comprehensive Stroke Center
- Unit: Abdominal Transplant / Telemetry (26 beds)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 18, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (36 hours/week) — Telemetry RN / Night Shift
- Weekend Rotation: 24 hours per 6-week schedule cycle

Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry RN experience (adult medical/telemetry and surgical patient care)
- Active RN license in Wisconsin or multistate compact RN license
- BLS certification required (ACLS not required)
- Experience with cardiac rhythm interpretation (minimum 2x per shift)
- Comfortable with NG tube insertion, tube feeds, and blood product administration
- Experience or comfort learning titratable drips (heparin, insulin, Cardizem) is preferred
- Strong critical thinking, efficient time management, and teamwork skills
- Travel RN experience preferred; first-time travelers will be considered
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, and GE monitors preferred
Core Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality telemetry nursing care to adult medical and transplant patients (including live and kidney transplant cases)
- Continuously monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and cardiac rhythms
- Administer medications, titratable drips, and blood products per orders
- Perform NG tube insertion and manage enteral nutrition/tube feeds
- Document pain assessments before and after interventions, ensuring compliance with orders
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members: Charge RN, ICU Resource RN, CNA, Hospitalist, Intensivist, RT, Phlebotomy
- Float within scope of practice as needed, including ED inpatient boarding
- Use EPIC EMR for documentation and coordinate care using unit technologies
- Participate in orientation and adapt quickly to unit flow as a Travel RN
