- Setting: Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF Division) — inpatient OT
- Contract Duration: 12 weeks (April 6, 2026 – June 29, 2026)
- Shift: 8 Hour Days (7:00 AM – 4:30 PM), 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Weekend Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Patient Population: Geriatric, adult, and pediatric (ages 13+)
- Unit Size: 60 beds, 7:1 patient ratio
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in inpatient rehab or skilled nursing facility (SNF)
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) certification; appropriate state licensure (or ability to obtain Missouri licensure) preferred
- Experience with neuro, ortho, debility, and cardiac diagnoses preferred
- Strong teamwork, communication, work ethic, and responsibility — ideal for multidisciplinary rehab teams
- Familiarity with EKSO, InMotion UE Robotic, and body-weight support equipment is a plus
- Comfortable working with UDS and Epic EHR systems
Responsibilities (Inpatient Occupational Therapy)
- Deliver exceptional patient-centered care to individuals recovering from stroke, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve functional ability, independence, and quality of life
- Provide skilled inpatient occupational therapy interventions and documentation in line with IRF standards
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary rehab team in a supportive, innovative environment
- Utilize advanced therapy equipment and participate in recreational and pet therapy programs
- Educate patients and families, including ADL training in specialized apartment settings
