Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,350 – $1,460
- Location: Springfield, MO (65804) — Springfield Missouri travel job
- Setting: Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF Division) — inpatient rehab, rehabilitation hospital
- Contract Duration: 12 weeks (April 6, 2026 – June 29, 2026)
- Shift: 8 Hour Days (08:00 – 16:30)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Patient Population: Geriatric, adult, and pediatric (ages 13+)
- Unit Size: 60 beds
- Patient Ratio: 7:1
- Specialized Equipment: EKSO, InMotion UE Robotic, body weight support — robotic therapy, advanced therapy equipment
- Electronic Health Record: UDS and Epic (Epic EHR experience preferred)
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required
- At least 2 years of experience in inpatient rehabilitation or skilled nursing facility (IRF or SNF)
- Ability to work with neurological (neuro rehab), orthopedic (ortho rehab), debility, and cardiac diagnoses
- Strong teamwork, communication, work ethic, and responsibility — ideal for multidisciplinary hospital teams
- Preferred: Experience with advanced therapy equipment and technology (EKSO, InMotion, body weight support systems)
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Occupational Therapists in delivering high-quality rehabilitation services to patients recovering from neurological, orthopedic, and complex medical conditions
- Utilize specialized equipment and robotic therapy technology to support patient progress and functional recovery
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (PT, SLP, nursing, physicians) to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Document patient evaluations, progress notes, and outcomes using UDS and Epic EHR systems
- Promote a positive, healing environment for patients and families, participating in pet therapy and recreational programs as appropriate
- Contribute to the hospital’s reputation for excellence in patient care and rehabilitation outcomes — focused on measurable functional gains
