• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680 – $1,770
• Position: Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN)
• Location: Pratt, Kansas (67124) — Kansas nursing jobs / Pratt KS travel nurse
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (07:00 – 19:00), weekdays and some weekends
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel nurse / contract RN
• Patient Ratio: 4:1
• Unit: Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg), Orthopedic, General Surgery

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience (2 years preferred) — experience as a medical-surgical nurse or surgical nurse preferred
• Active Kansas RN license or Compact RN license
• BCLS (BLS) certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• IV starts, telemetry, and charge nurse experience preferred
• Orthopedic experience (total hips and knees) and rural health experience a plus
• First-time travel nurses and local candidates welcome
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to medical and surgical patients, including post-op joint replacements and general surgery cases
• Perform IV starts, telemetry monitoring, wound care, and management of surgical drains, chest tubes, and feeding tubes
• Administer medications and blood products; manage central and peripheral lines
• Float to Emergency (ER), Intensive Care (ICU), and Labor/Delivery/Postpartum (LDRP) units as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, and Pharmacy
• Maintain accurate documentation, uphold infection control, and follow isolation precautions
• Participate in weekend coverage and unit-based responsibilities as scheduled
