Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,630 – $1,750 (travel ultrasound tech / travel sonographer pay)
- Location: Memphis, TN 38103 — Memphis healthcare & pediatric radiology jobs
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Shift: Day shift, 3x12-hour (07:00 – 19:00); schedule may change based on unit needs
- Employment Type: Travel, On-Site — pediatric sonographer / cardiac sonographer opportunity
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years recent pediatric ultrasound experience (3+ years preferred); pediatric sonographer or pediatric echo experience highly valued
- ARDMS certification required (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Must live at least 100 miles from the facility (travel assignment requirement)
- First-time travelers accepted with 3+ years of recent experience
- Seasonal flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality pediatric ultrasound studies in radiology and cardiology units, including abdominal, neonatal, and pediatric cardiac (echo) imaging
- Operate ultrasound equipment and ensure image quality consistent with hospital protocols and ARDMS standards
- Collaborate with pediatric radiologists, cardiologists, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation, complete electronic medical records, and follow hospital policies
- Adapt to schedule changes and unit needs while participating in orientation and ongoing training
- Provide compassionate, family-centered care to pediatric patients and caregivers
