Weekly Estimated Pay: $1800 - $1890 (Travel Nurse pay)
Location: Hilo, HI 96720 — Hawaii travel nursing job, Hilo healthcare
Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Days – 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours weekly)
Department: 28-bed Emergency Room (4 trauma bays, 2 behavioral health rooms, 22 cardiac monitor rooms)
Start Date: April 27, 2026
End Date: July 27, 2026
Employment Type: Travel Nurse, On-Site

ER RN Requirements

Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room RN experience (emergency nursing, trauma, cardiac monitoring)
Active RN license in the State of Hawaii or ability to obtain prior to start
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Preferred: Procedural Sedation, TMCC, and EMPC certifications
Must arrive the Thursday before start for required employee health appointment on Friday

Emergency Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care in a fast-paced ER setting
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams
Manage rapid patient turnover across trauma, behavioral health, and cardiac cases
Monitor and assess patients, administer medications, and perform emergency procedures
Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient safety and hospital standards
Adapt care to the unique needs of the Hilo community and support the hospital’s mission
