Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 months of permanent Med/Surg Telemetry clinical experience prior to travel
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio (permanent or RN compact license accepted)
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (active; no pending certifications)
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the Med/Surg Tele specialty
• COVID-19 and seasonal flu vaccinations required (medical or religious exemptions considered)
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate during orientation
• Must pass BCI/FBI fingerprinting within 48 hours of signing contract

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for med/surg and telemetry patients, emphasizing safe, patient-centered care
• Perform continuous cardiac telemetry monitoring and accurate rhythm interpretation
• Assess, monitor, and document changes in patient condition using the facility EMR
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered, following medication safety protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—including physicians, respiratory therapy, and ancillary staff—to optimize patient outcomes
• Deliver patient and family education, discharge planning support, and bedside clinical teaching as needed
• Participate in unit orientation, competency validation, and ongoing education modules
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, infection control, and patient safety standards
