Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 - $2,370
• Setting: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) — pediatric critical care, critical care RN role
• Employment Type: Travel RN / Travel Nurse (Clinic assignment within a major hospital system)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months permanent experience in Pediatric ICU or relevant pediatric critical care specialty prior to travel assignment
• 18 months of recent pediatric experience (travel experience accepted)
• Active Registered Nurse license in Ohio or Compact State license in hand (RN licensure required)
• Current certifications: AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Experience with epilepsy monitoring and care for patients up to 25 years old
• EKG rhythm recognition and inotrope administration experience required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• One supervisory reference in specialty required (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director)
• Must pass ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality pediatric critical care nursing in the PICU as a Clinic RN / Travel RN
• Monitor and assess patients with epilepsy and other complex pediatric conditions
• Administer medications, including inotropes, and perform continuous EKG monitoring
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists) to develop and implement patient care plans
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate electronic medical records
• Participate in orientation assessments, competency validation, and ongoing training modules
• Work required holiday coverage as part of the travel contract (at least every other holiday)
