Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) – Adolescent Unit | 13-week contract in Easton, PA. Provide compassionate adolescent mental health care in a supportive inpatient setting.

Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,860 - $1,960
• Location: Easton, PA 18042 — Easton healthcare job in the Lehigh Valley; close to downtown, parks, and regional amenities
• Setting: Inpatient Adolescent Behavioral Health Unit (psychiatric inpatient)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM, 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
• Schedule: Every other holiday and every other weekend required
• Start Date: April 27, 2026

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania (required)
• Minimum 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience; adolescent unit experience preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Experience with medication administration, psychiatric assessment, and crisis intervention
• Strong communication, de-escalation, and therapeutic engagement skills
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary, team-oriented behavioral health environment
• Preferred: CPI/non-violent crisis intervention or equivalent training; outpatient/inpatient behavioral health certifications are a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide direct psychiatric nursing care to adolescent patients in an inpatient behavioral health setting
• Conduct psychiatric assessments, implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient progress
• Administer psychotropic and other medications; monitor and document patient responses
• Participate in crisis intervention, de-escalation, and therapeutic activities to support safety and recovery
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and support staff as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory and facility standards
• Engage patients and families in education, discharge planning, and community resource coordination
