• Position: Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) / Travel Nurse / Med/Surg RN
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,570 – $1,650 (competitive travel nurse pay)
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (with possible extension)
• Start Date: April 20, 2026
• Shift: Day shift, 3 x 12-hour shifts (07:00 – 19:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Setting: Med/Surg Ortho/Neuro/Peds floor — acute care hospital RN role
• Weekend Coverage: Required (every other weekend)
• Patient Ratios: 6:1

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience (acute care experience preferred)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia, or documentation that Georgia licensure process is underway
• BLS certification required (AHA preferred)
• FM-Intermediate competency and IV start skills required (IV starts essential for Med/Surg/Ortho units)
• Previous travel nurse experience preferred (travel nursing experience helpful but not required)
• Royal blue scrubs required (not provided)
• Required compliance documents: Qualivis submission form, references, skills checklist, updated NURSYS record, and copy of driver’s license for residence verification
• Must reside more than 30 miles from facility to qualify for travel rate

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care to adults and geriatrics on a busy Med/Surg Ortho/Neuro/Peds floor (acute care nursing)
• Perform IV starts and FM-Intermediate procedures safely and efficiently
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Transportation
• Maintain accurate patient documentation, electronic charting, and complete required HealthStream modules prior to start
• Provide compassionate patient education and support for surgical and neuro patients and post-op orthopedic care
• Participate in scheduled weekend coverage and float as needed to meet unit staffing needs
