Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,630 – $1,750 (travel radiology job)
- Location: Knoxville, TN 37920 — Knoxville healthcare / Tennessee radiology jobs
- Setting: Level I Trauma Center (high-volume hospital)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Night, 12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:00)
- Schedule: 5/2 split — every other weekend required
- Hours per Week: 36
- Start Date: April 20, 2026
Job Requirements
- ARRT certification required (Radiography) — must be ARRT-certified Radiologic Technologist
- Minimum 1 year radiology technologist experience; extensive OR experience required
- Hospital and high-volume trauma center experience required; prior travel radiology experience preferred
- Experience with GE and/or Siemens X-ray equipment preferred
- License in hand required at time of submission (state radiologic technologist license)
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Must be able to float within scope to ED, inpatient (IP), outpatient (OP), OR, and perform portable X-rays
- Travel pairs cannot request the same schedule; first-time travelers not accepted; locals within 25 miles not accepted
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-ray, CT, MRI, Dexa, and vascular studies — diagnostic imaging technologist duties
- Provide extensive Operating Room support, including O-Arm and fluoroscopy procedures (OR support / intraoperative imaging)
- Operate and maintain GE and Siemens X-ray equipment and follow equipment safety protocols
- Perform portable radiography and trauma imaging in the ED and on inpatient units as needed
- Maintain high standards of patient care, radiation safety, and confidentiality in a trauma setting
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (radiologists, surgeons, nurses) in a fast-paced environment
- Adhere to hospital protocols, infection control, and compliance requirements
