- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,980 - $2,080 (competitive travel nurse pay)

- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: April 20, 2026
- End Date: July 20, 2026
- Shift: Night shifts, 3 x 12-hour (19:00 - 07:00)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Coverage: 3-4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday night)
- Patient Ratio: 1:1–2 (neuro critical care/ICU nurse ratios)
- Employment Type: Travel Nurse, W2
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU RN experience with strong neuro/neuro ICU background
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Active Registered Nurse license in Kentucky or compact state (RN)
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- EPIC electronic charting/EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Two professional references required
- COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Neuro ICU experience must be clearly noted in work history
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality critical care nursing to adult patients with acute and subacute neurological and surgical conditions
- Manage airways and care for ventilated patients; support arterial lines, central lines, and IV drips
- Interpret ABGs and cardiac dysrhythmias; titrate IV sedation and vasoactive drips
- Care for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure and complex neuro critical care needs
- Utilize specialized neuro ICU equipment: EVDs, lumbar drains, CRRT, Arctic Sun, ventilators, BIS monitoring
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including PT, RT, pharmacy, case management, and social services
- Float to other ICU or telemetry units as needed while maintaining appropriate patient ratios
- Document care accurately using EPIC electronic medical records
- Participate in orientation, unit-based training, and ongoing education modules for travel nurses
