Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,090 – $2,200
• Location: Springfield, Illinois (62769) — Springfield, IL nursing jobs / Illinois travel nurse opportunities
• Unit: Cardiac/Pulmonary (Telemetry)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (NOC), every other weekend
• Hours per Week: 48 hours
• Start Date: April 13, 2026
• Patient Ratio: 1:5-6, with 2 techs assisting on the unit

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry RN experience—Cardiac telemetry and pulmonary patient care preferred
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend
• Strong communication, clinical assessment, and teamwork skills

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess cardiac and pulmonary patients using telemetry and clinical assessment skills
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed for cardiac and pulmonary conditions
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and escalate changes in condition
• Document patient progress, telemetry findings, and interventions accurately in the medical record
• Respond promptly to arrhythmias, respiratory decline, and other acute changes; implement appropriate interventions
• Provide patient and family education on cardiac and pulmonary care plans and discharge instructions
