Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,840 - $1,940
• Location: State College, PA (16801) — Pennsylvania nursing job / State College healthcare
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (March 28, 2026 – June 27, 2026)
• Hours: 36 hours per week (Guaranteed hours)
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (06:45 – 19:15), 3 shifts per week, every other weekend and holiday
• Setting: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Type: Travel Contract / Travel ICU Nurse / Travel RN

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience as an ICU Registered Nurse (Critical Care RN)
• Active RN license in Pennsylvania
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
• EPIC experience preferred (facility transitioning from Meditech to EPIC)
• Comfortable caring for pediatric through geriatric patient populations

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients following AACN standards
• Perform comprehensive health histories and focused physical assessments for ICU/PCU patients
• Prioritize patient needs and develop individualized care plans as a Critical Care RN
• Recognize cardiac arrhythmias and initiate appropriate emergency interventions
• Manage airway, ventilation, hemodynamic support, and cardiac rhythm monitoring
• Assist with temporary pacemaker insertion, ambulance transport, and other critical procedures as needed
• Maintain continuous assessment and update care plans as patient conditions change
• Stay current with critical care best practices, trends, and biomedical equipment
• Complete mandatory education and participate in annual competency fairs
