Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
• Location: Albany, GA 31701 (Albany travel nurse opportunity, Southwest Georgia)
• Contract Duration: 17 weeks (April 13, 2026 – August 10, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM), 4 shifts per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Unit: Acute Care 2 (Medical Surgical / Med/Surg), 44 beds
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Scrub Color: Caribbean Blue
• Charting System: MEDITECH (EMR experience preferred)
• Orientation: 1 week general, 2 days floor-specific

Requirements (Qualifications)

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Active RN license (Georgia RN or compact state license accepted)
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• NIHSS certification (AHA required)
• EMR experience with MEDITECH preferred but not required
• Ability and willingness to float to all acute care and cardiology units as needed
• Must meet strict 75-mile radius requirement from address on driver's license to hospital (per facility policy)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care to medical-surgical patients in a 44-bed acute care Med/Surg unit
• Manage patient assignments with typical RN-to-patient ratios of 1:5 (occasionally 1:6)
• Collaborate with CNAs and interdisciplinary healthcare team (CNA ratios generally 1:8–1:10)
• Document patient care accurately and timely in MEDITECH electronic medical record
• Float to acute care, cardiology, or emergency/EC units for patient holds as needed
• Participate in unit and hospital orientation and ongoing competency validation
• Work weekends and holidays per schedule; support night-shift continuity of care
