Travel Registered Nurse (Neuro RN) opportunity — 13-week Neuro Med/Surg assignment at a Level 1 Trauma Center in Peoria, Illinois. Join a skilled neuroscience team providing high-quality care for stroke, spine, seizure, brain tumor, and traumatic brain injury patients.

Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 – $2,250 (competitive travel RN pay)
• Location: Peoria, IL 61637 — Illinois travel nursing / Peoria IL nursing jobs
• Setting: Neuro Med/Surg Acute (54 beds) in a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: April 13, 2026 – End: July 13, 2026)
• Shift: 12 hour nights (Neuro RN night shift)
• Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday
• Charting System: EPIC (experience with EPIC preferred)

Required Qualifications (Neuro RN / Travel RN)

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois or verification that Illinois application has been initiated
• BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of experience on a dedicated neuro unit (Neuro Med/Surg or Neuroscience experience)
• Experience working in a Level 1 Trauma Center required
• Previous travel nursing experience required — no first-time travelers
• Competent with titrated heparin drips 

Responsibilities – Neuro Med/Surg RN

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients with stroke, spine surgery, seizure disorders, brain tumors, head injury, and other neuroscience diagnoses
• Monitor and titrate IV drips, including heparin, per hospital protocols
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams—physicians, charge nurses, house supervisors, therapists, and patient care techs
• Accept full assignments or assist/float based on competency and unit needs
• Participate in unit orientation, ongoing education, and competency validation
• Maintain professional standards, dress code, and facility policy compliance
