Travel Ultrasound Technologist in Boston, MA — 13-week assignment (May 10, 2026 – August 8, 2026) split between two leading Boston hospitals. Ideal opportunity for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, Ultrasound Techs and travel sonographers seeking Boston ultrasound jobs in the 02114 area with 10-hour day shifts.
Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1920 - $2060
- Location: Boston, MA (02114) – Split assignment between two leading Boston hospitals
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (May 10, 2026 – August 8, 2026)
- Employment Type: Travel, On-Site
- Shift: 10-hour day shifts
- Hours Per Week: 40
- Schedule: Sun 8:00am–6:30pm, Mon & Thu 7:00am–5:30pm, Sat 8:00am–6:30pm (split between two leading Boston hospitals)
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Tech / Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
- Valid ultrasonographer license or certification (state licensure/credentials required)
- Experience with advanced ultrasound platforms preferred (Philips Epiq Elite; GE Logiq 10s)
- Proven ability to perform head & neck ultrasound exams, general abdominal exams, transplanted liver/kidney scans, and DVT (upper & lower) vascular ultrasound
- Pediatric ultrasound experience is a plus (pediatric sonographer welcome)
- Strong ability to follow detailed protocols and collaborate closely with radiologists and multidisciplinary teams
- Required onboarding documentation: MMR, TB test, health statement, criminal background check (including CORI), resume, references, skills checklist, education verification, SSN trace, national sex offender and exclusion checks, fit test, respirator medical clearance
Key Responsibilities
- Perform head & neck ultrasound exams and ultrasound-guided procedures (biopsies, OR guidance) at one of Boston's leading hospitals
- Conduct routine general ultrasound exams, transplanted liver and kidney scans, and diagnostic vascular/DVT exams at another leading Boston hospital
- Operate advanced ultrasound equipment (Philips Epiq Elite and GE Logiq 10s) and maintain equipment-ready status
- Collaborate directly with radiologists, surgeons, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure accurate imaging and patient-centered care
- Maintain accurate electronic and paper patient records, adhere to hospital protocols and imaging guidelines
- Deliver compassionate, culturally sensitive care to a diverse patient population across adult and pediatric patients
