Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
• Location: Dixon, IL 61021 — travel nursing assignment in Illinois
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 13, 2026 – July 13, 2026)
• Setting: Acute Care ICU (6 beds) — critical care nursing position
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7p–7a)
• Hours: 36 hours per week, guaranteed
• Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend and holiday
• Charting System: EPIC — experience with EPIC preferred
• Position Type: Travel Assignment / Travel Nurse

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in Illinois (or documentation that Illinois license application has been initiated)
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
• PALS and NIH certifications preferred
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience; prior travel nurse or critical care RN experience is a plus
• Proficient with ventilators, temporary pacemakers, intra-aortic balloon pumps, hemodynamic monitoring, BiPAPs, and titrating continuous drips
• Comfort caring for patients with STEMI, 3rd degree heart block, COPD, CHF, pneumonia, sepsis, COVID-19, and influenza

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care nursing to ICU patients, maintaining a typical 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Titrate drips including Cardizem, dopamine, dobutamine, insulin, levophed, vasopressin, nitroglycerin, nicardipine, neosynephrine, and other vasoactive agents
• Sign off on cardiac monitor strips three times per shift
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including PT/OT/SLP, pulmonary and cardiac rehab, and respiratory therapy
• Float to Med-Surg, ED, or Behavioral Health Crisis (BHC) units when experienced and needed
• Attend team conferences for acute inpatient rehab (day shift participation as required)
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in EPIC and adhere to department policies including call-off and orientation procedures
