Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,750 - $2,890
- Location: Midland, TX 79701 (Midland, Texas travel nursing job)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
- Shift: Day shift, 5x8-hour (06:00 - 14:30)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Call Coverage: Mon-Fri from 2:30pm to 6:00am; weekends are on-call shifts (average 10 days of call per month)
- Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics (cardiac and vascular patients)
- Charting System: Cerner EMR (experience preferred)
- Setting: Cardiac catheterization lab / interventional cardiology / Cath Lab
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab RN experience in cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiology
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the U.S. (pending license accepted; must be active before start)
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Proven ability to circulate procedures and perform hemodynamic monitoring and recording
- Experience with Cerner EMR preferred (cardiac charting experience a plus)
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
- Return-to-Office (RTO) documentation required with submission; expect to work some holidays
- Local candidates within 50 miles not accepted (travel RN candidates preferred)
Responsibilities
- Circulate and assist during cardiac catheterization procedures in the Cath Lab, including angioplasty, stent placement, and pacemaker insertion
- Manage hemodynamic monitoring and accurate procedural charting/documentation in Cerner
- Monitor procedural sedation, patient safety, and recovery for adult and geriatric patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams: interventional cardiology physicians, respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- Maintain strict infection prevention and isolation precautions during procedures
- Participate in scheduled on-call rotation and provide timely response for emergent Cath Lab needs
