Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) – Ranson, WV | 13-week travel contract. Seeking an experienced Perioperative RN/Surgical RN with recent OR experience, EPIC charting skills, and required ACLS/PALS/BLS certifications for a fast-paced acute care operating room.

Travel OR RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,420 – $2,550 (competitive travel nursing pay)
• Location: Ranson, WV 25438 — Eastern Panhandle (West Virginia travel nursing job)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
• Shift: Four 10-hour day shifts per week (6:45 AM – 5:15 PM)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Call Requirement: Nights/weekends (average 3–4 call shifts/month; weekend rotation every 6–7 weeks)
• Care Setting: Acute care, Operating Room — Perioperative/surgical services
• Charting System: EPIC (electronic health record)

Travel OR RN Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience (perioperative/surgical RN experience)
• Active RN license (West Virginia or compact state) — open to travel nurse licensure
• Current AHA certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Strong dependability, excellent attendance, and professional communication skills
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred; first-time travel RNs with strong perioperative skills encouraged to apply
• Driver’s license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility (travel nurse eligibility)

Key Responsibilities (Operating Room / Perioperative RN)

• Serve as circulating nurse and assist in a wide variety of surgical procedures including orthopedics, general surgery, OBGYN, urology, plastics, ENT, and more
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, OR techs, anesthesia providers, and perioperative team members in a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio when applicable
• Participate in pre-op assessments, intra-op support, and post-op patient care to ensure excellent surgical outcomes
• Respond to scheduled call shifts with a 30-minute response time as part of the travel nurse team
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC (electronic health record) following facility and regulatory standards
• Follow infection control, sterile technique, and patient safety protocols in the operating room
• Contribute to a supportive, innovative surgical environment with opportunities for contract extension
