Travel Med/Surg RN – Renal Unit (13-week) | Zanesville, OH (43701)Join a dynamic healthcare team as a Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN) in Zanesville, Ohio. This 13-week travel nursing assignment places a Med/Surg RN with renal expertise in a busy 21-bed Renal/Medical-Surgical unit caring for patients with acute kidney injury (AKI), chronic kidney disease (CKD), post-dialysis needs, and complex medical-surgical conditions. Ideal for experienced Med/Surg and telemetry nurses seeking short-term nursing jobs in Ohio.

- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
- Location: Zanesville, Ohio (Zip: 43701) — Ohio nursing jobs / Zanesville healthcare
- Unit: 21-Bed Renal / Medical-Surgical
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 36 hours/week — Night Shift Travel RN
- Employment Type: Travel / Temporary Nurse
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
- Schedule Requirement: Every other weekend required
Required Qualifications
- Active Ohio RN license (required at submission)
- Current BLS certification (AHA preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of recent Med-Surg and Telemetry experience; renal/dialysis experience strongly preferred
- Proven ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips
- Epic EMR proficiency (mandatory; no training provided) — experience with Epic documentation strongly preferred
- Competency test required on Day 1
- Strong critical thinking, adaptability, and efficiency in a high-volume clinical setting
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult renal and medical-surgical patients, including AKI and CKD management
- Care for post-dialysis patients and assist with dialysis-related orders and monitoring
- Continuously monitor and accurately interpret cardiac telemetry
- Collaborate with nephrologists, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Document patient care and clinical updates in Epic EMR accurately and timely
- Float as needed within scope to similar Med-Surg units (Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, ED boarders)
- Maintain patient safety, effective time management, and high-quality clinical assessment in a fast-paced unit
