Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • Current, unencumbered Oregon RN license (required upon submission) — required for all Oregon RN jobs
  • Healthcare Provider Level BLS (required)
  • AHA ACLS and NIHSS certifications (required for PCU 2S)
  • Basic EKG/telemetry experience preferred
  • PCU, step-down, or med-surg experience preferred
  • Verification of high school diploma or equivalent (required for moderate complexity testing)
  • At least 1 year of RN experience required; acute care or PCU experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct bedside care to acutely ill PCU patients who are moderately stable but at elevated risk for instability
  • Perform advanced monitoring, telemetry interpretation, focused assessments, and timely interventions to support patient recovery
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapy, case management) to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
  • Document patient care, assessments, and progress accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
  • Participate in ongoing education, competency validation, and training to maintain clinical excellence as a travel RN
