Travel Labor & Delivery RN – Macomb, IL (13-week). Immediate opportunity for experienced L&D nurses, perinatal RNs, and maternity travel nurses to join a supportive OB unit in western Illinois.

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,360 - $2,480

• Setting: Acute Care – OB Unit (Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Newborn Nursery)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 4/27/2026 – End: 7/27/2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:00am)
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Schedule: Flexible, 2 weekends/month, holiday shifts required
• Dress Code: Scrubs provided (black shoes, black pants, purple scrub top)
• Charting System: Cerner (Electronic Fetal Monitoring / EFM)

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year recent clinical experience in labor & delivery, postpartum, and/or newborn nursery (L&D nurse, perinatal RN)
• Active RN license: Illinois OR Compact RN license accepted
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification
• Experience titrating magnesium sulfate and Pitocin
• Comfortable reading and interpreting fetal heart rate strips via Cerner EFM
• Strong teamwork, communication, and clinical assessment skills for maternity nursing and obstetric care

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, patient-centered care in labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn nursery settings
• Monitor and interpret fetal heart rate strips and communicate findings to providers
• Administer medications including magnesium sulfate and Pitocin per protocol
• Manage common OB diagnoses: preeclampsia, gestational hypertension, gestational diabetes, fetal growth restriction, and LGA
• Assist with respiratory support as needed (vents, CPAP, BiPAP) and provide neonatal stabilization
• Collaborate with charge nurse, house supervisor, obstetricians, neonatologists, and multidisciplinary care team
• Float to other departments when required and participate in unit-specific onboarding/orientation
