Job Requirements

• Active RN license (Medical/Surgical specialty)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience in acute care or medical-surgical nursing
• Ability to interpret and implement medical care plans and prioritize patient needs
• Familiarity with medical terminology and practical nursing principles
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interdisciplinary care coordination
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive patient information
• Required onboarding documentation (MMR, TB Test, Health Statement, Background Checks, Resume, References, Skills Checklist, License Verification, Fit Test, Medication Exam, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for medical-surgical patients
• Provide safe medication administration and monitor patients for reactions or side effects
• Record and maintain accurate, detailed reports and electronic medical records (EMR) documentation
• Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions; screen and triage acute patients accurately
• Consult and coordinate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to implement and modify care plans
• Perform ongoing patient assessments, vital sign monitoring, and clinical interventions consistent with Med/Surg RN scope
• Provide patient and family education, discharge planning support, and continuity of care for transitions within the hospital
