• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1800 - $1890
• Location: Huntington, WV (25702) — West Virginia travel nursing
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: April 20, 2026
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Every other weekend required
• Patient Ratio: 1:4-5
• Assignment Type: Travel Contract / Travel RN role (local candidates within 50 miles not accepted)

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license and current credentials required for travel nursing
• BLS required; ACLS and NIH Stroke Certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of recent telemetry or cardiac nursing experience (Telemetry RN, Cardiac Telemetry RN)
• Proficient with cardiac telemetry monitors, telemetry packs, and IV pump management
• Experience initiating and titrating IV drips (Cardizem, dopamine, dobutamine, NTG, antiarrhythmics, anticoagulants)
• Skilled in caring for pre & post cardiac intervention patients, pre-open heart surgery, and device insertions (pacemaker, ICD)
• Familiarity with Pyxis, Sorian clinicals, MAK, and point-of-care glucometers for documentation and medication administration
• Professional appearance: navy blue scrubs required
• Must be available for night shifts and travel assignment; local candidates (within 50 miles) are not accepted

Key Responsibilities

• Provide telemetry nursing care for cardiac patients, including CHF, stroke, and post-intervention monitoring
• Monitor arterial/venous access sites and manage TR bands following cardiac procedures
• Administer and monitor complex IV drips and antiarrhythmics with safe medication practices
• Interpret telemetry strips and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on patient care plans
• Document care accurately using Sorian clinicals and unit-specific systems
• Maintain patient safety, adhere to unit protocols, and participate in orientation and required modules
