Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) – Travel role in Madison, WI 53715. 13-week contract at a Level 3 Trauma Center; 12-hour nights.

Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,220 – $2,340 (competitive travel nurse pay)
• Location: Madison, WI 53715 — Madison nursing jobs / Wisconsin nursing jobs
• Setting: Level 3 Trauma Center – Labor & Delivery Unit (L&D)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 3 shifts per week
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel Contract
• Orientation Dates: Multiple options available throughout the year

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (maternity/OB nursing, perinatal care)
• At least 1 completed travel contract (travel nurse experience preferred)
• Active Wisconsin RN license
• BLS (AHA) and NRP certifications required
• Driver’s License
• Skills checklist (completed within 1 year of submission)
• Work history / resume
• License verification
• Copy of required certifications
• 1 supervisory reference
• Must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from facility (unless local Madison candidates; local hires may be subject to rate adjustment)

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to mothers and newborns in the Labor & Delivery unit (L&D RN responsibilities)
• Provide OB triage, labor support, high-risk obstetrics assistance, and initial newborn care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (OB/GYN, anesthesia, neonatal teams) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed
• Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate documentation and handoffs
• Participate in charge and precepting roles as assigned
• Adhere to Level 3 trauma center protocols and maintain high standards of patient safety
• Work every other weekend as scheduled
