Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,090 – $2,200
• Location: Rock Island, IL 61201 (Quad Cities, Illinois)
• Healthcare Setting: Cardiac Stepdown Unit (RI 7N) / Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel nurse (On-site)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Required Qualifications and Certifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois required; Iowa RN license accepted on offer
• Minimum 2 years recent PCU / Med-Surg / Telemetry nursing experience
• At least one completed travel contract preferred (travel nursing experience)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)
• Demonstrated experience with chest tubes, femstops, tracheostomies, continuous bladder irrigations (CBIs), drains, and central lines
• Proficiency administering and titrating cardiac and vasoactive medications including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, Argatroban
• Experience with cardiac telemetry monitoring and advanced cardiac interventions
• Must have a taxable address outside 50 miles from facility and not employed by UnityPoint in the last 12 months
• Required at submission: driver’s license, resume/work history, completed skills checklist within 1 year, license verification, copies of certifications, and one supervisory reference

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to PCU and cardiac stepdown patients as a Telemetry RN
• Monitor and manage patients requiring advanced cardiac, telemetry, and post-procedural interventions
• Administer and titrate cardiac medications and vasoactive drips per protocol
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed
• Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate documentation, care coordination, and handoffs
• Participate in orientation and ongoing professional development opportunities
