• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1800 - $1890 (travel nurse pay range)

• Shift: 12-hour nights — night shift orthopedic RN

Job Requirements — Orthopedic Nurse (RN)

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state of practice or compact license accepted)
• BLS certification required (AHA preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of recent orthopedic nursing experience — joint replacement, fracture care, post-op ortho patients
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (night shift orthopedic nursing)
• Strong communication, clinical assessment, and teamwork skills

Key Responsibilities — Orthopedic RN Duties

• Provide high-quality orthopedic nursing care to adult surgical and post-operative patients
• Monitor patient progress, perform neurovascular checks, and document changes in condition
• Administer medications and IV therapies as prescribed; manage pain control and PCA when applicable
• Assist with surgical recovery, early mobilization, wound care, dressing changes, and discharge teaching
• Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, physical therapy, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care, rehabilitation, home safety, and follow-up appointments
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record
