Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 - $1,890 (competitive travel nurse pay)
• Role: Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) / Medical-Surgical Nurse
• Location: Vicksburg, MS (Zip: 39183) — Mississippi travel nurse opportunity
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (travel nursing contract)
• Shift: 12-hour Days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM), rotating weekends
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel / On-site hospital RN position

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in any U.S. state (willing to review clinicians with pending state license)
• Minimum 1 year of acute care Med/Surg RN experience (medical-surgical nursing)
• NIHSS certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility (travel nurse requirement)

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care in a medical-surgical (Med/Surg) unit as a hospital RN
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions using the facility EMR
• Administer medications and treatments safely according to provider orders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, therapists, discharge planners) to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Provide patient and family education, including discharge instructions and condition management
• Maintain accurate medical records and comply with hospital policies and clinical protocols
