Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,130 – $1,210
• Location: Sierra Vista, AZ 85635 — travel PTA position
• Setting: Acute Rehab Unit (ARU), hospital-based inpatient rehabilitation
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (2/2/2026 – 5/4/2026)
• Shift: 8-hour days (08:30–17:00), rotating weekend coverage
• Hours per Week: 40 (32 hours guaranteed)
• Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients — inpatient rehab
• Electronic Health Records: Cerner, NetHealth

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in Arizona or compact-eligible state
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a PTA preferred (acute rehab or inpatient rehab experience a plus)
• Strong time management, flexibility, and teamwork skills for hospital-based rehab
• Adaptable, quick learner comfortable treating a variety of diagnoses
• Required education per licensure
• Dress code: ability to wear any color scrubs or business casual (slacks and polo)

Primary Responsibilities

• Deliver therapy services to adult and geriatric patients in an acute rehab/inpatient rehabilitation setting
• Assist with therapeutic interventions including therapeutic exercise, gait training, transfers, and activities of daily living (ADL) training
• Collaborate with physical therapists and interdisciplinary rehab team members to implement individualized treatment plans
• Document patient progress and treatment notes using Cerner and NetHealth EHR systems
• Float to other inpatient units as needed to support patient care
• Maintain a positive, flexible approach across a wide variety of diagnoses and participate in rotating weekend coverage
