Job Details – Travel Nursing Job
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1850 - $1950
- Location: Issaquah, WA 98029 (Seattle area travel nursing)
- Setting: Level II NICU / Neonatal Intensive Care
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
- Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 – 07:30) — Night Shift NICU RN
- Employment Type: Travel, On-Site (Travel Registered Nurse / Travel RN)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Floating: May be required to float to Post-Partum or Labor & Delivery units
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of recent Level II NICU RN experience (required for neonatal nurse positions)
- Active RN license (compact licenses honored) — Washington nursing jobs welcome compact RN holders
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications required
- Familiarity with electronic charting systems / EMR experience
- Previous travel nursing experience required (travel RN experience preferred)
- Ability and willingness to float to different campuses or units as needed
Responsibilities – Neonatal Nurse / NICU RN Duties
- Provide direct care for unstable newborns (32 weeks gestation and greater) in a Level II NICU
- Attend deliveries, including high-risk deliveries; support Labor & Delivery and Post-Partum as needed
- Perform respiratory support and procedures: breathing treatments, CPAP/BiPAP, bubble CPAP, and chest tube set-up/care
- Administer medications including rapid sequence intubation drugs and IV vasopressors per protocol
- Care for neonates with invasive lines: PICC/central lines, UAC/UVC; manage syringe pumps and infusion devices
- Use cooling/warming blankets, drains, feeding tubes, and perform procedure sedation when indicated
- Provide breastfeeding support, manage expressed breast milk, and assist with couplet care and transition nursery needs
- Care for preterm infants (approximately 29–34 weeks) including surfactant administration, steroid protocols, and isolation precautions/PPE
- Assess and manage infants with neonatal abstinence syndrome and other complex neonatal conditions
