- Healthcare Setting: 300-bed acute care community hospital (ER, adult med/surg, adult critical care)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
- Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour (18:15 – 06:45)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Schedule: Every other weekend required; no call
- Charting: Epic charting system required
Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT preferred)
- Valid New Hampshire state license required (candidates with license pending will be considered)
- BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)
- Epic charting experience required for this travel RT assignment
- Experience in trauma, community hospital, emergency department (ER), and adult ICU settings required
- Preferred certifications: ACLS, PALS, CRTT, RRT
- Pediatric and acute care pediatric experience preferred; neonate to geriatric patient care capabilities valued
- Preferred ventilator experience: Puritan Bennett, Draeger, Servo I, LTV 1200/HT70
Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy across ER, adult med/surg, and adult critical care units as a travel respiratory therapist
- Administer nebulized treatments, chest physiotherapy (CPT), high-flow oxygen, noninvasive ventilation (NIV), cough assist, and IPV
- Assist with intubations, bronchoscopies, and in-house transport of mechanically ventilated patients
- Manage mechanical ventilation, BiPAP, CPAP, and continuous albuterol therapy
- Perform airway management, medication administration, arterial blood gases (ABGs), O2 therapy, suctioning, pulmonary toileting, and specimen collection
- Provide care for pediatric ER and pediatric patients when competency is demonstrated
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams (nursing, physicians, transport, respiratory therapy staff) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
