- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 - $1,890 (Competitive travel nurse pay)
- Location: Dayton, Ohio (45459) – Miami Valley area
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Travel)
- Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Start Date: April 13, 2026
- End Date: July 13, 2026
- Employment Type: Travel Nurse – On-site
- Floating: May float to Miami Valley Main Hospital (less than 10 miles)
ICU RN Job Requirements (Qualifications)
- Minimum of 2 years recent ICU RN experience in an intensive care unit (required)
- Travel nursing experience preferred (travel nurse, travel RN)
- EPIC electronic charting experience required
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke required
- Any state RN license accepted (compact license now accepted) — suitable for Ohio nursing jobs
- Must be able to work every other weekend and holiday
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered); COVID-19 vaccine not required
- No past license action accepted
- EKG/Dysrhythmia exam required within 72 hours of signing contract
ICU Registered Nurse Responsibilities (Critical Care)
- Provide high-quality critical care nursing in the ICU setting (intensive care unit)
- Monitor, assess, and manage critically ill patients using advanced monitoring and interventions
- Administer medications, IVs, and treatments as prescribed; titrate drips and manage ventilators per protocol
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document patient care accurately and timely using EPIC electronic medical records
- Respond to emergencies, codes, and rapid response situations; perform advanced life support procedures
- Float to other units as needed, including Miami Valley Main Hospital (supports flexibility for travel nurses)
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, quality improvement initiatives, and patient safety standards
