Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 – $2,370 (competitive travel nursing pay)
- Location: Cleveland, OH 44106 — travel nurse opportunity in Northeast Ohio
- Setting: Academic Level 1 Trauma Center with 31 ORs
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 18, 2026 – August 16, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour days (06:45 AM – 07:30 PM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Employment Type: Travel — CVOR RN / Cardiovascular Operating Room RN
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio required
- Minimum 1 year of recent CVOR experience; cardiac OR nursing or cardiothoracic RN background preferred
- Direct experience with heart and lung transplant procedures required
- Ability to scrub is a plus
- Willingness to take call as needed
- Compliance with onboarding requirements (immunizations, background check, skills checklist, competency exams, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) for cardiac and thoracic surgeries, including heart and lung transplants
- Scrub, circulate, and assist surgeons and the multidisciplinary team during high-acuity procedures as appropriate
- Maintain strict adherence to surgical safety, sterile technique, and infection control protocols
- Coordinate with perfusionists, anesthesia, ICU teams, and transplant coordinators to support optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in call rotation and respond to emergent surgical needs
- Contribute to the academic, teaching, and innovative culture of the surgical department
