Travel Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) – 13-week assignment in Kankakee, IL (60901). Provide post-procedure cardiac and interventional radiology (IR) recovery care in an acute care, Trauma Level II setting. EPIC charting, ACLS, and BLS required. Great travel nursing opportunity near Chicago.

Job Details

• Role: Cath Lab Recovery RN / Cath Lab RN (Travel Nurse)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (travel nursing assignment)
• Setting: Acute Care – Cath Lab Recovery (Stepdown), Trauma Level II facility
• Shift: 12-hour evenings (11:00 AM – 11:00 PM)
• Hours: 36 hours per week (3 shifts/week)
• Start Date: April 13, 2026
• Schedule Notes: No weekends or holidays required
• Location: Kankakee, IL 60901 — easy commute to Chicago; ideal for Illinois nursing jobs and travel RN experience

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year recent Cath Lab Recovery RN experience caring for cardiac and IR patients
• Experience with post-procedure care for pacemakers, stent insertions, ablations, and other cardiac procedures
• Active Illinois RN license (compact license not accepted unless valid in IL)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
• EPIC charting experience required (electronic medical records)
• Driver's license required for submission
• Preferred: previous travel RN / Cath Lab travel nurse experience

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive post-procedure recovery and monitoring for cardiac and interventional radiology patients
• Assess and monitor patients after procedures such as pacemaker placements, stent insertions, and ablations
• Perform clinical assessments, documentation, and handoffs using EPIC
• Collaborate with interventional cardiology, radiology, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain patient safety, infection control, and high standards of quality care in a busy acute care environment
