Key Responsibilities

• Perform transthoracic and focused cardiac ultrasound studies (Echo) for a diverse inpatient and outpatient population.
• Maintain high standards of patient care, safety, and image quality in echocardiography and cardiac imaging.
• Participate in on-call rotation (Noon Sunday to 7:00am Monday) and weekend rotation (8:00am–Noon Saturday & Sunday).
• Document studies accurately in the electronic health record; Epic charting experience preferred.
• Collaborate with cardiology providers and interdisciplinary teams in the Cardiology unit.
• Train, mentor, and orient new hires and traveling staff when needed.
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, regulatory requirements, and radiation safety (radiation badge provided by agency).

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer experience (travel experience required).
• ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI credential (RCS, RCCS) required.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred).
• Must provide travel-ready documentation; radiation badge will be provided by agency.
• Willingness to train new hires and support team education.
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered).
• First-time travelers not accepted — experienced travel sonographers only.

Assignment Details & Expectations

• Caseload: Approximately 8–12 studies per tech per day.
• Hours per week: 40.
• Scrub color: Navy or Seal Blue.
• Call and weekend coverage required per schedule.
