• Setting: Hospital – Level One Trauma Facility (hospital sterile processing)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 11, 2026 – August 10, 2026)
• Shift: Night Shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00pm–3:30am (8-hour shifts), occasional holidays
• Hours per Week: 40
• Employment Type: Travel Contract (travel healthcare, contract SPT)
• On-Site Position

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of sterile processing experience in a busy hospital or Level One trauma center (sterile processing technician jobs)
• Required certification: CBSPD or CRCST (through HSPA, formerly IAHCSMM)
• Hands-on experience with Censitrac tracking system
• High-Level Disinfection (HLD) and scope reprocessing experience
• Proficiency in decontamination, assembly, sterilization (Sterrad and steam sterilization), and sterile storage
• OR Liaison experience preferred (Operating Room liaison / clinical liaison)
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Two professional references required (one must be a manager/director or supervisor)
• Must be able to float to multiple reprocessing sites across the health system

Key Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment, including drills, DaVinci instruments, scopes, trauma sets, loaners, and peel packaging
• Perform sterilization processes using Sterrad and steam sterilizers; ensure compliance with sterilization protocols
• Execute high-level disinfection and scope reprocessing per facility and manufacturer's guidelines
• Maintain sterile storage areas and ensure proper packaging, labeling, and timely delivery of sterile supplies to clinical areas
• Serve as a clinical liaison between Operating Rooms and Central Sterile Services (OR liaison duties)
• Track, allocate, and manage sterilized instrumentation system-wide using Censitrac
• Procure, standardize, and maintain instrument trays across multiple sites
• Float to various reprocessing locations as needed (Ross Heart Hospital, University Hospital, James Cancer Hospital, Same Day Surgery, East campus, and ambulatory sites)
