Travel opportunity: Join a Level I trauma center in downtown Columbus, Ohio as a Vascular Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech). This 13-week hospital contract is ideal for experienced Radiologic Technologists with ARRT certification and interventional radiology (IR) experience who want a travel radiology job in Columbus, OH. - Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,830 – $3,040
- Position: Vascular Interventional Radiology Technologist / Interventional Radiology (IR) Tech (Travel)
- Location: Columbus, Ohio — downtown (zip 43215)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
- Shift: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (06:45 – 15:15), every other holiday
- Call: Split 1/4 of monthly call hours; weekend rotation every 4 weekends
- Setting: Main Surgery / Interventional Radiology (OR/IR suite) – Hospital setting
- Patient Population: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist with Level I or II trauma center experience preferred
- Graduate of an accredited radiography program (ARRT-eligible or ARRT-certified)
- ARRT certification required (Vascular Interventional Radiology certification preferred)
- Ohio Department of Health radiologic license accepted (pending accepted; typically 24–48 hours to obtain)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Traveler eligibility: permanent address must be greater than 100 miles from central facility (Columbus, OH 43215)
- Experience with fluoroscopy, C-arm, CT and ultrasound in interventional radiology or endovascular procedures strongly preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Interventional Radiologists and vascular surgeons with minimally invasive, image-guided vascular procedures (scrubbing, monitoring, circulating)
- Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment including fluoroscopy, C-arm, CT, and ultrasound
- Perform and assist with procedures such as abdominal aortograms, fistulagrams, carotid angiograms, EVARs, peripheral angiography, and vascular access procedures
- Set up, maintain, and ensure proper functioning of IR instruments, specialty trays, and imaging systems
- Document procedures and patient care accurately using EPIC charting and hospital documentation systems
- Participate in scheduled call shifts and weekend rotations as part of the IR team
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary surgical team in a high-volume, fast-paced hospital environment
