Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,100 – $2,260 (competitive pay for travel nuclear medicine technologists)
- Location: Dothan, AL 36305 — travel technologist opportunity in Alabama
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
- Shift: 8-hour days, typically 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM (procedures start at 7:30 AM; must arrive early for isotopes, floods, and QC)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Employment Type: Travel / On-site
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or ARRT(N) registration
- Valid state license as a general radiographer or Nuclear Medicine Technologist (as required)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Minimum 1 year of nuclear medicine technologist experience; cardiac nuclear imaging experience required
- Graduate of an accredited AMA school/program
- Familiarity with isotope handling, quality control (QC) procedures, and nuclear cardiology protocols (preferred)
Key Responsibilities
- Administer a variety of nuclear isotopes for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes following department protocols and radiation safety guidelines
- Perform floods, quality control (QC) procedures, and routine instrument checks
- Operate and regulate nuclear medicine equipment, including DualHead CorCams and other gamma cameras
- Perform Cardiolite studies, isolated MUGA (MUGAs/MUGA scans), Amyloid studies, and other cardiac nuclear imaging procedures
- Process, print, develop, and organize images using Cedars-Sinai software and established image processing workflows
- Provide timely diagnostic imaging services to inpatients and outpatients under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols
