Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,120 - $2,230 (Travel Nurse Pay)
• Location: Austin, TX 78758 (North Austin – close to shopping, dining, and outdoor activities; ideal for Texas nursing jobs)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (Cath Lab travel contract)
• Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (8-hour days)
• Hours per Week: 40
• On-Call: Required (weekends and evenings) — Cath Lab on-call rotation
• Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab – 8 beds, 10 staff (4 RNs, 3 CV Techs)
• Electronic Medical Record: Meditech EMR experience preferred
• Scrub Color: Ceil blue

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Active RN license (Texas RN or Compact Nursing License accepted)
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Cath Lab RN experience (cardiac catheterization, PCI)
• Experience with pacemaker and ICD/defibrillator implants and peripheral vascular procedures preferred
• RCIS certification preferred (Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
• Proven teamwork, strong communication skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced cath lab environment

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, PCI, and peripheral procedures
• Support pacemaker and implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) procedures
• Monitor patients intra-procedure and provide comprehensive post-procedure care
• Collaborate closely with physicians, cardiovascular techs, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and charting using Meditech EMR
• Participate in on-call rotation for evenings and weekends as part of Cath Lab coverage
• Adhere to unit policies, safety protocols, and dress code (ceil blue scrubs)
