Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,340 – $2,510
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 25, 2026)
- Location: Presque Isle, ME 04769 — Aroostook County, northern Maine (teaching hospital)
- Hours: 40 hours per week, variable shifts (8–10 hour days, rotating start times between 5:30–6:00 AM or 7:00 AM)
- Setting: On-site at an 89-bed teaching hospital — ED, inpatient, and outpatient nuclear medicine cases

Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) — first-time travel technologists welcome
- Valid Maine state license (State of Maine)
- NMTCB or ARRT (NM) certification
- BLS certification (AHA preferred)
- Dosimeter (dose reader badge) required
- Clinical experience with DEXA, cardiac (stress/rest), HIDA, renal, bone scans, and PET/CT
- Familiarity with Siemens dual head camera and GE Discovery IQ PET/CT
- Experience using Cerner EMR and AGFA Enterprise Imaging (PACS) preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform a full range of nuclear medicine procedures including DEXA, cardiac stress/rest, HIDA, renal, bone, and PET/CT for ED, outpatient, and inpatient populations
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment (Siemens dual head camera, GE PET/CT), ensuring image quality and patient safety
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to protocol and regulatory guidelines
- Accurately document procedures in Cerner EMR and manage images in AGFA Enterprise Imaging PACS
- Collaborate with lead technologist, technologist team, internal transport, and on-site radiologists to provide efficient patient care
- Complete a two-week orientation tailored to your experience and comfort level; maintain professional standards and follow facility protocols
