• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 18, 2026)
• Shift: Day shifts, 8 hours per day
• Schedule: 5 days per week, 32-hour guarantee

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in a hospital, inpatient rehab, or rehabilitation setting
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team (physicians, nurses, PT/OT/SLP)
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
• Current Virginia state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as a COTA

Responsibilities

• Assist in the evaluation and treatment of patients with physical, cognitive, or developmental challenges in an inpatient hospital setting under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
• Implement individualized treatment plans and therapeutic interventions developed by the Occupational Therapist to maximize patient function, independence, and ADLs
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care and discharge planning
• Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in the medical record (EMR) and maintain accurate records
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques, home programs, and strategies for continued improvement
