Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,200 – $2,320
- Location: Fargo, ND (58102) — Fargo, North Dakota healthcare / North Dakota nursing jobs
- Position: Travel Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) / Travel Nurse
- Setting: Acute care, Med-Surg – Oncology Unit (hematology oncology / infusion)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour day/night rotating shifts with every other weekend and holiday
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
- Dress Code: Navy Blue Scrubs
- Orientation: 8 hours classroom + 24–36 hours unit training
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years recent nursing experience in a large hospital setting (250+ beds); travel nursing experience highly preferred
- Experience in a busy Level 1 trauma center and inpatient oncology/hematology preferred
- Inpatient oncology experience, chemotherapy administration, infusion therapy, or BMT experience is a plus
- Active BLS certification (AHA required)
- Active North Dakota RN license or Compact RN License, or willingness to obtain (North Dakota nursing jobs)
- Proven EPIC / EMR charting experience
- Ability and willingness to float to all med-surg units/locations within Fargo as needed
- Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and interdisciplinary communication skills
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate care for medically complex hematology and oncology patients, including administration of blood products and antibiotics
- Perform comprehensive head-to-toe assessments and ongoing patient monitoring
- Administer medications, including chemotherapy if trained, and manage symptom/side-effect care
- Coordinate care and communicate care plans with the interdisciplinary team; update patients and families
- Utilize EPIC / EMR, Philips care monitors, glucometers, bladder scanners, language line, and Zebra phones
- Float to other med-surg units within the facility as needed; adapt to varied clinical workflows typical of travel nursing
- If trained, support bone marrow transplant (BMT) patients and post-transplant care
