• Location: Claremore, OK (Zip: 74017) — Oklahoma travel nurse position
• Setting: Level 3 Emergency Room / Acute Care ED
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 18, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:30 PM – 8:00 AM), 3 shifts per week — night shift ER nurse
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse / Contract

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of recent Emergency Room (ER) nursing experience or Emergency Department RN experience
• Active Board of Nursing-approved Oklahoma RN license or Compact/Multi-State RN license
• Current American Heart Association certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
• Comfortable caring for both adult and pediatric patients in a busy ED
• Experience with ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and Vapotherm oxygen delivery systems
• Skilled in managing critical medications and drips (infusions, vasopressors)
• Basic stroke patient care and recognition of acute neurologic deficits
• Ability to perform under pressure, multitask in a fast-paced emergency setting, and prioritize care
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; effective interdisciplinary collaboration
• Must meet pre-employment credentialing clearances (background check, drug screen, immunizations, etc.)
• Ability to meet physical demands: stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; lift up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities / Emergency Department Duties

• Rapidly assess patients' clinical conditions, perform triage, and prioritize care in the emergency department
• Recognize and interpret critical situations; initiate immediate, evidence-based interventions when physicians are not immediately available
• Provide patient stabilization, airway management, and advanced emergency nursing procedures as indicated
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot general and specialized ED equipment (monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps)
• Administer prescribed therapeutic measures, medications, IV therapy, and emergency drips according to protocols
• Document assessments, nursing interventions, and patient responses clearly and promptly in the medical record
• Coordinate patient care and communicate effectively with physicians, specialists, and other clinical disciplines
• Plan, implement, and evaluate care delivery; ensure continuity of care and accurate handoffs for shift changes
• Assist with unit upkeep, maintain supplies and equipment, and promote a safe environment for patients and staff
