• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
• Location: Indianapolis, IN 46237
• Setting: Neuro Critical Care / ICU (Neuro ICU)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00–07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Commitment: Every other weekend (Friday/Saturday nights)
• Start Date: April 20, 2026

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Neuro ICU experience or equivalent neuro critical care nursing experience
• Active RN license in Indiana or Compact RN license accepted
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Strong critical care assessment skills, including care of hemodynamically unstable and mechanically ventilated patients
• Thorough neurological assessment skills and ICP/CPP monitoring experience
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Ability to float to other inpatient areas as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide expert critical care nursing for patients with ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, post-op craniotomy, seizures, encephalopathy, and neurologic tumors
• Perform comprehensive neurological assessments, ICP waveform management, and neuro-focused monitoring
• Manage advanced ICU equipment including Alaris pumps, Arctic Sun temperature management, Prismax, EV1000 hemodynamic monitoring, and Neuroptics pupillometer
• Care for mechanically ventilated patients and participate in ventilator management and weaning protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including neurosurgery, neurology, respiratory therapy, and critical care providers to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR and adhere to unit protocols and safety standards
• Demonstrate flexibility, empathy, and a positive attitude as a dependable team player on night shift
