Job Details
- Position: Travel Registered Nurse – Telemetry (RN) / Telemetry Nurse
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 – $1,890
- Location: Lima, Ohio (zip 45801) — Ohio travel nurse opportunity
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Hours per Week: 36
- Employment Type: Travel RN / travel nursing job
- Unit: 6K General MS/Tele and Renal (28 beds) — medical-surgical telemetry / renal care
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in acute care (telemetry or medical-surgical experience preferred)
- Current RN license in Ohio or Compact State (Ohio nursing license preferred)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Dysrhythmia Exam required (study guide available)
- Telemetry nursing skills: cardiac rhythm interpretation, telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia recognition
- Preferred: CAPD experience; experience managing Cardizem, Nitro, Heparin drips; advanced respiratory modalities (Trachs, BiPAP, CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula)
- EPIC EHR experience preferred (EPIC experience is a plus for telemetry nurses)
Telemetry RN Responsibilities
- Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments and develop individualized, evidence-based care plans
- Monitor and interpret telemetry continuously; read and document telemetry every 4 hours in EPIC
- Administer medications safely and accurately; manage cardiac drips (Cardizem, Nitro, Heparin)
- Care for patients with multi-system organ failure, multisystem trauma, and complex medical-surgical needs
- Utilize advanced respiratory modalities (Trachs, BiPAP, CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula) and provide ventilatory support as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, serve as patient advocate, and provide education to patients and families
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and participate in quality improvement and telemetry nursing initiatives
- Demonstrate strong communication, adaptability, clinical judgment, and professionalism in a fast-paced environment
