Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,950 – $2,060
Location: Henderson, NC (Zip: 27536) — North Carolina nursing jobs / travel nursing jobs
Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 12, 2026 – July 12, 2026)
Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 – 07:00)
Hours per Week: 36
Weekend Requirement: 5–6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule
Unit: Labor & Delivery (16 beds) — L&D RN, maternity nurse, couplet care

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (L&D RN / Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse)
Experience in couplet care, LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum), and some NICU exposure
Current RN license (state-specific or compact as applicable)
BLS (American Heart Association) certification
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification (completed intermediate course required; advanced preferred)

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive labor, delivery, and postpartum care to mothers and newborns as an L&D RN / maternity nurse
Deliver couplet care and manage LDRP processes, ensuring safe transitions between delivery and postpartum care
Monitor fetal health using intermediate/advanced fetal monitoring and respond to changes per AWHONN guidelines
Collaborate with obstetricians, neonatologists, midwives, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Perform and document patient assessments and interventions in GE Centricity / Paragon EHR systems
Maintain a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment for patients and families; adhere to hospital policies and evidence-based maternity nursing practices
